A PERSON has been hit by a train in south Essex, railway bosses have confirmed.

Essex rail operator Greater Anglia says there is ongoing disruption to its services in south Essex after a person was hit by a train between Southend Victoria and Wickford.

All lines have re-opened but cancellations and revisions should be expected while services recover, it said on its website.

“Greater Anglia tickets are still being accepted on c2c services between Southend Central and Fenchurch Street, and also on London Underground services between Tower Hill and Liverpool Street,” a statement added.
