GORGEOUS pooches being cared for by the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Basildon are looking for their forever homes.
Luna, Basset Hound
Luna is a three-year-old Basset Hound who was handed over to the Dogs Trust through no fault of her own. She can live with children over the age of eight years old and must be the only dog in the home as she prefers to have all the attention to herself. Knowledge of her breed is desirable as she does show typical traits such as struggling to be left alone. The rehoming centre describes her as "the friendliest girl who loves nothing more than having cuddles and will try to sit on your lap".
Gyoza, Shiba Inu
Gyoza is a sweet 7-month-old Shiba Inu puppy. While she has become braver since being at Basildon Dogs Trust and will investigate new novel items with people present, she can be shaky and hesitant. She is starting to walk on lead in quiet areas, so is looking for a quiet location to live in. She loves playing with toys when it is quiet or with no people around. With the right home who are calm and patient with her, Gyoza will make a lovely addition.
Tommy, French Bulldog Cross
Six-year-old Tommy is an all-round bundle of joy who will give any family so much love. He can live in a home with children over eight years old and must be the only pet, although he can have walking buddies. This cheeky little lad is happy to meet new people and visitors to the home. Tommy does have ongoing medical and will need monitoring for any changes in the future.
Ella, Dachshund Cross
Ella is lovely three-year-old Daschund cross who is ready to find her forever home. She needs an adult only home with no other pets as she is worried of new people. She would also benefit from a secure private garden. Once she has built a bond, Ella loves nothing better than having a cuddle. She loves her toys especially squeaky toys and fluffy ones.
She is on a treatment plan for heartworm so will need ongoing medical treatment in her new home.
Cody, Cocker Spaniel Cross
Cody is an energetic lad who is looking for an adult-only, active, rural home who will ideally have knowledge with the spaniel breed. The active three-year-old is extremely lively and loves nothing better than being out exploring. Cody does have to be kept on a lead and muzzled when out on walks, and has showed guarding behaviours so care will need to be taken around high value toys and food.
