A MAN accused of attacking a pensioner on a train has pleaded not guilty to two charges.
Raymond West, of Chigwell Road, Woodford Green, appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court last week to answer one count of assault by beating and one of using threatening or abusive language or behaviour.
The 49-year-old is accused of attacking the 70-year-old, who had been for a day out in Southend with his family, on August 23.
The alleged incident happened near Shenfield.
West was remanded on unconditional bail before an appearance at the same court in April.
