CASTLE Point’s MP has condemned prejudice by signing the Holocaust Memorial Day Book of Commitment.
Rebecca Harris has remembered those that were killed in the massacre as well as the survivors who have relived their experiences.
This year’s Holocaust Memorial Day, on Monday, January 27, marks the 69th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of the largest mass murder in history.
Ms Harris said: “It is an important opportunity to remember the victims and survivors of the Holocaust. The Day also serves as a reminder that we should continue standing up against all forms of racism and bigotry anywhere in the World.”
Thousands of commemorative events have been arranged across the country, remembering the six million killed in the Holocaust.
