FIREFIGHTERS received dozens of calls to wind-related incidents during a short storm yesterday.
Essex Fire and Rescue attended 12 incidents of trees or sign posts falling into a road or being in a precarious position between around 4:30pm and 6.30pm.
Tailbacks formed in Thorpe Hall Avenue, Thorpe Bay, at around 5.30pm when a tree fell into the road, with police also in attendance.
Other incidents were in Rayleigh, Ingatestone and the mid, north and west of the county.
