THIEVES broke into a garage on Canvey stealing thousands of pounds worth of goods.

The crooks forced their way in through the main door of a garage in Bramble Road between 10:30am on Sunday February 2 and 8am on Monday February 3 before making off with a haul of high-end equipment.

Among the items stolen were a man's black and white Giant Talon bike worth £1,000, a man's black and white Scott Voltage mountain bike worth £600, and a blue child's Mongoose BMX bike worth £300.

A number of expensive tools were also taken included a yellow cordless Dewalt 24 volt drill worth £400, a Clark 5.5 KVA generator, worth £250, a Clark petrol driven pressure washer, worth £400, a 2ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft wooden tool case with various panel beating tools, worth £400, a Henry vacuum cleaner, worth £100, three cases of spanners and socket sets, various DVDs many of them Disney movies and an external computer hard drive.
