A FRIEND of a musician who has been missing for more than two weeks has appealed for him to get in touch.

Kat Price, 30, organises music events around Southend and Basildon where she got to knowBarrie Miles, who was last seen on February 11.

Police believe Barrie, 33, from Westcliff may be in the Hadleigh area.

Miss Price, from Old Leigh, said it was out of character for Barrie to disappear.

She added: “He used to enter a lot of our competitions as a soloist and we suggested he formed a band because his music was really good, but suited more of a band style so, although he still performs alone at smaller gigs, he plays with Dregs of Summer for the larger ones.

“I just want somebody to find him or for him to call or text to say ‘I’m fine, don’t worry about me’.”

Police believe Mr Miles does not have his medication with him, which may mean he is disorientated.

He is 6ft 3ins tall, of medium build, with blue eyes, blonde untidy hair and a beard.

He speaks with a London accent and may be wearing black Converse trainers with a green undersole, blue jeans and a black hoodie with a monkey logo.

Anyone with any information can call Southend police station on 101.
