Fire crews tackle blaze in flat
A FIRE broke out in a ground floor flat this morning.
Southend fire fighters rushed to Crossfield Road, Prittlewell, just after 11.10am.
They spent half an hour extinguishing the fire using breathing apparatus and two hose reels.
Fire fighters then ventilated the flat using a high pressure fan.
