Can't comment on this accident but do get fed up with bikers weaving in and out the traffic at way above the speed limit then blame everyone else for the accident. When will they learn?

They are normally 'weaving in and out of traffic' because cars dont give them enough space or try to narrow the gap on bikers. I have seen this happen plenty of times, so before you have a go at bikers think about the people in cars that drive like lunatics,

So many negative marks for my rather inoffensive comment? Is it because i dared to suggest that someone may have been speeding? I thought this was a forum for discussion? I actually saw the scene of the accident unlike, i suspect, many of those judging my comment on here. Shame on you armchair warriors!

A helicopter, two ambulances and a paramedic for one injured person seems a lot. With so many complaints about waits for ambulances can't they spread them out?

There's some **** car drivers on the road, there's some **** motorcyclists on the road, there's some **** cyclists on the road - giving each other a bad name.

As a pedestrian I wasn't impressed when i was walking down fossets way (home of 2 motorcycle accidents) and 2 people on a motor bike speed past me doing a wheelie. I felt very vulnerable given this accident prone road, should they lose control and hit me!

Whatever you're driving, if everyone gave some consideration to other people on the road (like using your indicators!) we'd all be much safer. I am no perfect driver but i would like to think i am never the aggressive, speed hungry road user.

Hope the guys ok and recovers well.

Mostly it is cars that pull into the path of the biker.
I am a cyclist, biker and car driver and in that order are less likely to take risks due to their vulnerability.
Then again there are also idiots among ALL those road users and I think I must have met them all at some time.

All these biker comments are horrible, please dont assume it was the bikers fault. accidents happen, this was my friend on the bike, he is seriously unwell undergoing numerous surgeries to repair all his broken bones, please show some respect. imagine if this was a member of your family or friends.

I will be awaiting the thumbs down comments for writing something truthful.

How exactly don't you know he isn't of the right age and hasn't done all his bike tests he actually has a full bike and car licence. And he is also 19 not 20 and was doing the correct speed limit oh also he is currently in surgery.. Did your mothers never teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, do you think it's fair for his mother to know that people are **** about her son who last night was fighting for his life. Some people in this world are truly vile.

You are forgetting there was an elderly chap involved also. There would have been an ambulance sent for each casualty. When the biker was deemed critically injured the helicopter would have been sent for as it contains a doctor. The response car would likely have been a manager to manage the scene. FYI - paramedics don't just work on the cars, ambulances are also staffed by paramedics as opposed to just 'ambulance drivers' as most seem to think! :)
