MORRISONS are getting rid of all trolley locks at its Canvey and Hadleigh stores.
Customers have called for easier and quicker shopping trips at the Northwick Road and London Road stores. A team visited the store to update trolley fixtures.
This included removing the need to insert a £1 coin or token to release a trolley from its bay.
Mark Easton, the general manager of Morrisons Canvey, said: “Customers in this area have told us that they want a quicker shop. The removal of trolley locks is just one of the many improvements we are making to our store.”
