YOUNGSTERS said “I do” in front of parents, staff and school friends in a mock wedding school project.
Year 2 pupils at Buttsbury Infant School, Perry Street, Billericay, donned their best clothes to learn about wedding ceremonies and marriage. Rev Warner Pidgeon from Christ Church, Billericay, led the proceedings.
He said: “This is the third time we have done this at Buttsbury Infants. We went through the ceremony with all the children dressed up. We had a bride, groom, bridesmaids, a photographer and parents came too dressed as guests.
“It’s an opportunity for them to learn through doing what happens at a wedding. It went really well.”
