A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy has been hit by car near a school.
The tot was treated for suspected leg injuries after being hit by a silver Ford Ka in Poynings Avenue, Southchurch, near Hamstel Infants School.
Paramedics say the child was conscious and his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service shortly after 3.15pm.
The child was taken by ambulance to Southend Hospital.
