SOUTHEND Coastguard was called out to find a missing three-year-old child.
The boy was reported missing at 2.59pm yesterday but was found safe and well before the coastguard disembarked.
At 3.57pm the coastguard took to the RNLI hovercraft after a man was reported stuck in mud off Leigh.
However this was found to be a false alarm will good intent.
A man was reported to be struggling in the sea near Southend Pier at 6.37pm but managed to make it safely ashore by the time search and rescue units arrived at the scene.
