A PLUSH new housing development was officially unveiled by gold medal winning gymnast Max Whitlock.
The sporting star, who trains at Basildon Sporting Village, cut the ribbon to open the final phase of the Morello Quarter complex, based on the former Essex Ford site in Cherrydown East, Basildon.
The development is made up of 425 flats across four buildings.
Developer Weston Homes has already sold 83 of the 209 homes in the latest collection of one and two-bedroom apartments.
Max, 21, won three golds, a silver and a bronze at the recent Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Bob Weston, chief executive of the company, said: “We’re delighted with the interest shown in the final phase from first time buyers, investors and couples.
“The development gives them a great opportunity to get their foot on the property ladder and live within easy commuting distance of London.”
