RAIL fares are set to rise in the new year again.

The Government has released figures which show most people will be paying at least 3.5 per cent more than this year.

The rise is worked out by adding July's rate of inflation, which was 2.5 per cent, with 1 per cent.

However, rail companies have yet to announce the individual price details for each station, which will come into effect from January.
