POLICE are still searching for a gang who attacked a trainee electrician as he walked home from the pub.
Tom Ward, 19, was beaten unconscious outside the Co-op in London Road, Benfleet while he was walking home on Saturday, June 13, at 10.40pm.
A man driving past intervened when he saw four boys and two girls attacking Mr Ward.
The teenager suffered a broken leg and will be off work for weeks.
Dc Paul Ross, from Southend CID, said: “Enquiries are continuing and officers would like to speak to anyone that has any information.
“In particular we would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have heard anyone talking about the attack since it happened.”
