The Fibromyalgia Awareness UK charity is hosting its first ever Fibro Fun Flurry on Sunday.

The event will see dozens of people run, walk, jog or even dance their way around half mile laps through the park, in Wickford.

But there is a colourful twist to the day - as entrants run around the course, marshals will shower them with coloured powder, to create a rainbow effect.

Anyone who wants to take part is advised to wear white T-shirts, which they do not mind getting covered in paint, so that the colourful powder shows up as much as possible.

The charity supports people who suffer with the chronic illness fibromyalgia, which causes pain and profound fatigue.

Registration for the event on the day is from noon, the warm-up is at 12.30pm.
