A LAINDON man has admitted burgling a home and going equipped to steal.
Jon Lee, 32, of Powell Road, appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with the theft offences.
He admitted burgling a home in Waverlee Road, Benfleet, on Saturday, April 8, sometime between 9am and 6pm.
It is not known exactly what was stolen in the burglary.
The court also heard that Lee was stopped and searched by PC Dan Onley, from the Operation Raptor drugs squad, when he was carrying out a patrol last Tuesday.
Lee was found in possession of a hammer and some gloves, which he admitted to having.
Magistrates decided to remand him in custody for a future sentencing hearing at a date and time to be fixed.
