Three people hit by car outside a night club with one man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police are looking to identify a group of men in connection with a disturbance outside Sugar Hut, in High Street, Brentwood, on Sunday, April 2.

At around 12.00am, a suspect was refused entry to the night club because he was wearing trainers.

He was then seen on CCTV at 12.30am approaching the group and swapping his trainers for a man’s shoes. The group walked off and the suspect gained entry to the Sugar Hut nightclub. It is this group which police are keen to speak to with regards to this interaction.

At around 3.10am, police were called to a disturbance, which resulted in three people being hit by a blue Audi.

The car fled the scene and two men and a woman were taken to hospital for their injuries. They have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man from West Drayton and a 21-year-old man from Brent on suspicion of attempted murder and they have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

A 26-year-old woman from Hornchurch arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without charge.
