A car has overturned following a crash in Southend.
Police and the ambulance service were at the scene, in Sutton Road.
It is thought one person has been taken to hospital.
A spokesman from Essex Police said: "Officers in Southend attended a single vehicle RTC at around midday on Saturday.
"A cream Volkswagen Beetle convertible was reported to have driven along Sutton Road and at the junction of Browning Avenue, left the road.
"It is believed to have then collided with concrete bollards, before it came to rest.
"The driver of the car, a 47-year-old woman, was taken by officers to hospital with minor injuries.
"She has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and is in police custody.
"No one else was injured during the collision.
"The road was temporarily closed and reopened just before 2pm.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Essex Police on 101."
