Prince Edward to visit Brentwood School

BRENTWOOD is to welcome its second Royal visitor in four weeks.

HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, will be the guest of honour at Brentwood School, in Ingrave Road, on Wednesday, November 23.

The school is holding a ceremony to mark the opening of its sixth form centre and the naming of the Wessex Auditorium.

The Earl will arrive at the school and inspect a Combined Cadet Force honour guard as well as meet its sixth form students and staff.

The Queen’s youngest son will take a tour of the new centre and attend the opening ceremony in the Wessex Auditorium.

The visit comes just weeks after Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, was in the borough.

She visited the Essex Dog Training Centre, in Brentwood, and then the South Essex Rape and Incest Crisis Centre in the town.

She also officially opened the new Essex Sexual Assault Referral Centre, based at Brentwood Community Hospital - the first of its kind in Essex.
