Clean rounds for rider Toni
TONI Evans picked up the leading rider trophy at the pony of the year show after jumping four clear rounds.
The 10-year-old from Southend picked up no faults in three qualifying rounds or the Grand Prix event where she finished sixth overall.
The leading rider accolade Toni got at Towerlands, Braintree, was just reward for 18 months of work riding and training her pony Meadowbrook Copperlad.
And Toni's mum Debra is hoping there will be more success to come as her daughter can compete on 13.2-hands-tall Meadowbrook Copperlad until she is 14.
The next chance of picking up more silverware comes on April 12 and 13 when Toni and her regular mount will be joined Firefly of Riverdean for a two-day event in Hartley, Gloucestershire.
Toni, a pupil at Temple Sutton School in Southend, has followed in the footsteps of her mum and elder sister Kerry, both of whom used to compete.
