Boundary Garage pub plan turned down

CASTLE Point Council has turned down plans to build a pub on a Hadleigh garage site The East Anglia Pub Company wanted to replace Boundary Garage, in London Road, Hadleigh, with a pub, restaurant and flat.

The proposal has been rejected by planning officers because of a lack of customer parking which they felt would cause problems in nearby residential streets.

They also felt the proposed flat would be too small.

I'd of thought it better if people left their cars at home when going to the pub. And as for disturbing local residents, wouldn't it be better for them and the environment if they could walk to the pub rather than having to rely on the car.

What a thoughtless comment!!

Just try talking to people living on the route of pedestrian using Pubs: Shouting, swearing fighting, urinating in their doorways, criminal damage all late at night and trying to intervene to stop anything is a life threatening hazard.

All because there are NO DETERRENTS, Non existent stretched to the limit Police, Courts that are useless, Fines Unpaid, so building pubs NOW DAYS in residential areas is a no no.

Also PLEASE LEAVE THE GLOBAL WARMING ISSUE out of it until China is dealt with!!!

I think the East Anglia Pub Company should contact the new Indian restaurant opposite and ask how they managed to get permission to turn a travel agents into a huge restaurant, remembering that there is only a small parking bay at the front which is also used for other out-lets.

I hear you brother, you're the one who speaks the most sense on here. That's why the others hate you because they can't deal with the truth!

PS: You may want to look at the spelling, punctuation and grammar of your post as it's a little untidy, I take it you're an immigrant to UK?

If he makes so much sense, why in the past have you given him so much stick?
