SOUTHEND firefighters rescued a student who had become trapped on ledge above a 25ft drop today.
Student Louise Hindle clung to railings perilously close to a sheer drop to a sunken pool in Churchill Gardens in Prittlewell shortly before 1pm.
Crews managed to coax the terrified woman over railings into Victoria Avenue after making a makeshift bridge with ladders.
