IF you’re heading down to Colors Nightclub tonight, you’re unlikely to be the only gay in the village.

Littler Britain, a tribute act to the BBC comedy sketch show, will bring a host of characters, including the self-proclaimed gay man Daffyd Thomas, to the club, in Southernhay, Basildon.

The duo, Stuart Morrison and Gavin Pomfret, recreate classic scenes from the series with Andy and Lou, Vicky Pollard, Marjorie Dawes, Ray McCooney and many more.

The act has been on the Richard and Judy Show, spoken on BBC Radio and appeared in OK and Star Magazines with their remarkable likeness to original actors Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

“The audiences in Colors love comedy and a lot of people are really excited about this,” says Ben Roe, events manager at the gay club.

“I think Daffyd, the gay Welsh character, will go down a treat.

“It looks like it’s going to be one of our biggest events, it’s definitely the biggest act we have booked.”

Music comes from resident DJ Legin and guest DJ Cheryl.

Doors open at 9pm and entry is £3 before 10pm, £4 between 10pm and 11pm, and £5 afterwards.
