Stars line up to cause Mayhem

12:00pm Friday 25th September 2009

MAYHEM nightclub celebrates its fourth birthday with two big stars on stage this weekend.

First up is actor James Buckley, who plays Jay Cartwright in the hit E4 comedy, the Inbetweeners.

He’ll be playing an alternative DJ set at the Southend club’s Authentic night, which takes place tonight.

James is followed, tomorrow, by Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt, who flies in from America to join the birthday bash.

Kimberly will be playing R&B, hip hop and dance records during the Absolute night, at the club, in Warrior Square.

“It’s going to be a big weekend,” says Gav Lloyd, promotions manager at Mayhem.

“It’s the first time a Pussycat Doll has visited Essex and she’s coming especially from the States.

“James will be playing a blinding set of indie and pop.”

The Authentic night runs from 9pm until 3am, and entry is £3 before 10.30pm, and £5 after.

Admission to Absolute, which parties from 9pm until 4am, is £5 before 10.30pm, and £7 after.
