JOBS fairs have long been a popular way to match supply and demand in the recruitment market.

They bring together those in search of jobs, and employers, with jobs to offer, seeking the perfect people to fill them.

Today we launch our Virtual Jobs Fair which brings jobs fairs into the modern age, to the benefit of employers and employees alike.

Companies and other organisations with jobs to offer can book a virtual stand.

Sarah Sanderson, digital commercial manager for Essex and North London, said: “As at any familiar business fair, they can use the stand to demonstrate what their company is all about, and what they have to offer.”

For jobseekers, the site brings a fresh approach which reduces time, tedium and potential disappointment. Sarah says: “We wanted to save jobseekers the drudgery of trudging through list after list.

“Instead, they can simply visit a company’s site by clicking on its logo, looking at its profile, and checking out the current vacancies. They can do it at any time, any place, 24/7.
And they can do it without having to go anywhere or make an appointment, using their tablet, smartphone or laptop.”

For employers, there is another advantage not on offer from the traditional job fair. Instead of a display running for just one or two days, the stand and its wares remains on show for a three-month period.

Sarah says: “In the Virtual Jobs Fair, we have what we believe is the most technically advanced and wide ranging site of its type in the south-east.”
