IT may only be Easter, but a touch of festive flavour was in the air when this year’s pantomime was launched in Basildon – oh yes it was!
A pantomime horse named Daisy, and costumed actors handing out ‘magic beans’ made shoppers smile when Jack and the Beanstalk took over the Eastgate Centre in Basildon for the afternoon.
The show will be on at the Towngate Theatre from December through to January and bosses at the venue are hoping it will be a roaring success.
