Glamour model Chantelle Houghton has said she spent around £16,000 on lip filler procedures because she wanted “a more youthful look”.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner appeared on ITV’s This Morning to explain why she had opted to have her lips plumped.
She told hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes that she wasn’t “about to go crazy with my lips exploding or anything like that”, but said she loved the look of them.
She said: “It’s not part of the big lips, big boobs glamour look any more, I just want a fuller pout – I’m as natural as I’ve ever been, I just want it more for a youthful look.”
Thirty-two-year-old Chantelle has had the procedures over a few years, according to The Sun.
She also admitted the procedure was very painful.
She said: “I had tears running down my cheeks, and a sick feeling… it’s just awful but I sacrifice going through that to make myself feel more confident. I’ve not lost my mind, it’s just helping me feel a bit more confident.”
Chantelle was the first non-famous person to enter Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, as she pretended to be a famous singer from a band called Kandy Floss. She went on to win the show.
“If I’d never have gone on Big Brother, I’d never have had a boob job, and I wouldn’t be having lip fillers,” she explained, “But I’m not blaming that, I’m so grateful for the opportunities it created and for so long, you know, it’s 10 years later… so yeah, probably, but I like it.”
Alicia Douvall made a call to Chantelle live on the show and spoke to her about surgery, saying she thought Chantelle should work on her self-confidence before having anything more done.
