Dame Julie Walters, Dame Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley are among a host of stars hoping to inspire the nation to get together to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The stage and screen stalwarts are backing the organisation’s flagship fundraising event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, to help the charity support people living with cancer.

Dame Julie said: “The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is ingenious, simple and fun and is all about people coming together.

“Whether it’s friends and family, or colleagues at work, getting involved is easy and you’ll be doing something extraordinary to help Macmillan support people living with cancer.”

Posing with Love a Cuppa mugs from Marks and Spencer, Dame Julie, Dame Judi and Lumley were photographed by celebrity photographer Nicky Johnston for the campaign.

Loose Women’s Lisa Riley, TV chef James Martin, actor Les Dennis and musical star Elaine Paige are also among the celebrities doing their bit for the charity drive, which encourages people to host or attend a coffee morning to raise money.
