Hollyoaks star Greg Wood has revealed Trevor Royle will find others to blame for son Dylan Jenkins’ death to try and alleviate his own guilt.

Last night saw Dylan (James Fletcher) injured in a car explosion as he rushed to rescue Kim Butterfield and Esther Bloom, who his dad had left for dead after taking his surrogate baby and fleeing the scene.

In the run up to Dylan’s death, he and his father had feuded over Trevor’s refusal to accept Dylan’s cross-dressing.

Greg said of Dylan’s death: “It’s going to be huge for him because it was an unresolved situation, he didn’t really get to get across how he felt to Dylan and let him know that he’s his son no matter what.

“There’s a lot of guilt there, a lot of blame that gets shifted.”

James said: “All Dylan ever wanted is acceptance from his dad. He just wants to be loved.

“Obviously Dylan is very angry with his dad, that he wasn’t there for him and the crash is kind of the last thing – a physical enactment of what’s actually going on inside of the relationship – a gigantic car crash.”

At first it seemed Dylan would survive the crash, but he has become the latest victim of the Gloved Hand Killer, who administered a lethal injection while he was being treated in hospital.

Dr S’Avage (Andrew Greenough) has now been ruled out of the list of suspects as he was seen outside the hospital when Dylan was being killed.

James said: “My money was on Dr S’Avage for a long time, but I’m not so sure any more.”

Greg added: “I think it’s the janitor. The hospital janitor, you see him sometimes. We just don’t know…”

The remaining suspects are nurse Kim Butterfield (Daisy Wood-Davis), her sister Lindsey (Sophie Austin), Celine McQueen (Sarah George) and Tegan Lomax (Jessica Ellis).
