If you like to go to a destination that has perfect weather all year round then try and pick up one of the many cheap Paphos holidays at any time of the year.

Paphos, which used to be the capital of Cyprus, is now a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. It is positioned on the south west of the Cyprus and has brilliant year round weather. Summer months see temperatures reach over thirty degrees celcius and the winter months have temperatures of around the twenty degrees celcius mark. This gives us a perfect destination to rid our winter blues in the UK and escape the cold and rain we often get in the winter.

Paphos has so much to offer everybody, from history and culture to a moderate nightlife and plenty of shopping. It is a modern beach resort twinned with an interesting inland town and surrounding villages.

Paphos will attract so many different types of tourists from groups of friends, couples and families as there really is so much to do. The up to date beach resort provides everybody with fantastic golden sandy beaches and crystal clear blue seas that are perfect to swim safely and take up some active water sports. Coral Bay area is the most popular beach and probably the most attractive beach on the whole of Cyprus Island which is why it understandably has been awarded a Blue Flag award for its cleanliness and beauty.

Paphos is divided into two parts, one part being Kata Paphos which is where you will find the harbour and sea front and is the area where all the nightlife, cafes and bars are and then Paphos Town which is set away from the harbour area.

Paphos town, set in the hill side is fabulous for all of its narrow winding hilly lanes that are lined with traditional shops selling souvenirs and local crafts however, should you want more up to date outlets then the sea front is the place to be offering many trendy stores.

Cyprus has so much to offer in the way of history and culture and whilst you are in Paphos you really should try and experience and discover what Cyprus has to offer.

Paphos has numerous sights and places of interest and one of the main facts of the area is that the Greek goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite, was born here.

The Tomb of the Kings is a definite excursion to take advantage of. This is an archaeological wonder and was constructed in the forth century. It is said to be the burial ground of high ranking clergy and aristocrats and in truth the name Tomb of the Kings, there was no kings ever buried here. The amazing architecture is on show with the underground tombs, which are still to this say being excavated, being carved out of solid rock. It really is a really fascinating site to discover.

Another beauty of Paphos is the Paphos Odeon. This is a second century amphitheatre built from limestone. It has the capacity of up to one thousand two hundred people and every year in June, an annual festival of choirs is held here. It attracts many of Cyprus' choirs and also many choirs from across the world. The Paphos Odeon is also host to many musical and theatre performances throughout the year.

There is a great deal to do while you are in Paphos and in particular if you enjoy beautiful beaches with a spot of sight seeing thrown in. There are so many cheap Paphos holidays on the market, especially if you go out of season which is very viable with the island having a very mild year round temperature.
