John Krasinski, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, James Badge Dale and Dominic Fumusa are seen for the first time as the heroes of the 2012 Benghazi terror attack in the new trailer for 13 Hours.
Michael Bay directed the film, based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s book 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, about the siege of the US diplomatic compound in Libya on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary.
The tense trailer shows how the US security team found themselves on a risky rescue mission to save the American diplomats trapped in Benghazi.
24 star James Bade Dale is seen telling the team, “None of you have to come, but we are the only help they have.”
The attack saw between 125 and 150 armed Islamic militants launch an attack on the US diplomatic compound, leaving US Ambassador J Christopher Stevens and US Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith trapped inside. Despite the best efforts of Diplomatic Security Service Special Agents, both men were killed.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is released on January 15, 2016.
