The Friends reunion is one of the most anticipated, and the first promotional trailer has excited fans even more.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer are back together for a tribute to noted director James Burrows – though they are minus Matthew Perry.

In the video, host Andy Cohen asks the Friends stars if they signed contracts stating they must not sleep with one another while on the sitcom.

Kudrow jokes: “David, say something!”

During the taping of the two-hour show in January, the Friends met the cast of The Big Bang Theory – which is one of today’s comedy hits on both sides of the Atlantic.

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco posted the resulting photo, which also featured her co-stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Simon Helberg, on Instagram.

“Ummmm NIGHT MADE. Can’t breathe #friends meets #bbt @bigbangtheory_cbs I died and went to heaven,” her caption read.

In the photo, Aniston is seated next to best friend Cox, who is holding Cuoco’s hand.

Kudrow is standing on the other side of Cuoco, with Galecki and Helberg in the back row alongside LeBlanc, who has his hand on Schwimmer’s shoulder. Emmy award-winner Parsons is sitting between Schwimmer and Aniston.

Episodes star LeBlanc, who has just been announced as the new co-presenter of BBC Two’s Top Gear, also tweeted the photo and called the event “a great night”.

Efforts to bring all six cast members of Friends together on television have proved difficult in the past, and that appears to still be the case.

Perry, who played Chandler Bing in the hit comedy series about a group of six pals in New York City, told The Graham Norton Show: “It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for – they are celebrating Jim Burrows who was a director of Friends.

“The other five (stars) are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London. I’m doing the play here so I can’t be there.”

The NBC show is expected to feature cameos, sketches and appearances connected to the various series the 75-year-old has worked on over the years.

The James Burrows special is scheduled to be broadcast on February 21 on NBC.
