ONLY Cowards Carry, the anti-knife crime charity campaign group, is putting on a show at the Princes Theatre to mark the first anniversary of the organisation being set up.

Events manager Elliot McMillian is on a mission to make this concert, that will be hosted by Channel 5’s Rob Lamarr, a huge event He said: “We aim to put on a good show to give something back to the people for all the support they have shown us.”

After launching in October last year, the charity raises awareness about knife crime in the wake of tragedies such as the death of Clacton teenager Jay Whiston.

By selling merchandise, opening shops within Clacton and Colchester, raising more than £3000 and receiving more than 20,000 petition signatures, the charity has gained major news coverage from the likes of the BBC and continues to grow even bigger.

Acts taking part include Leanne Jarvis of The Voice.

The concert will take place on November 29 in the Town Hall and doors will open at 6.30pm with music from 7pm.

Tickets can be bought for £10 from Clacton’s Town Hall Tourist Information Centre, Key Cutting, Nail Envy, Ye Olde Sweet Shop and the Only Cowards Carry shop in Jackson Road.
