Three lucky Eastgate shoppers were given a makeover by fashion designer and celebrity stylist Joey Bevan.
Joey was the star turn at the shopping centre’s StyleSquad event, giving shoppers essential style.
The three volunteers, Hannah Spicer, 30, Judy Lawrence, 63 and Samantha Hunt, 20 chatted with Joey about which styles would work well for each of them. Then his team of hairstylists and makeup artists got to work updating hair and makeup live on stage before their new looks were revealed.
Joey said: “It was great to be back in Basildon again. Eastgate has got a brilliant selection of fashion so it made it a real pleasure. I think everyone agreed that the ladies looked really stunning.”
There were two beauty stations in the Style Lounge where shoppers watched makeup masterclasses from Lancome and Benefit.
Basildon-born Joey got his first big break while he was volunteering at Southend’s YMCA charity shop. He created a pop-up fashion show with customised second-hand clothes.
