Haddon Events once again hosted its hugely-successful vintage culture celebration in Southend.
The Southend Vintage Fair featured over 50 stalls selling mid 20th century fashion, accessories, homeware, furniture, collectibles and art.
Singer Lorraine Cater performed popular tunes of the era to an enthusiastic crowd, alongside retro DJ Iain Black
Vintage lovers were also entertained by swing and rock ‘n’ roll dancers. Many came to browse, have tea and cake and a vintage make over from Juggling Jules’ mobile hairstyling salon, which also raised money for charity Mind.
Haddon Events is a family run business based in Rayleigh. Owners Steven and Emma Cooper run a range of different events both in Essex and the surrounding counties. The couple are best known for running their vintage events, including car shows and music events as well as antique fairs.
A spokesman said: “Vintage fairs are popular with people of all ages. There are older people who remember the music and style from their youth. There are teenagers who want to buy an item of clothing not available on the high street.”
The fair was held at Chase Sports Centre, Westcliff.
