WORD is Blur's Alex James has described the baritone voice of D Ari - frontman for HVMAN - as "tender and touching".
You can find out for yourself tomorrow night when this band appear at the Edge in Basildon, where they will be airing their recently released debut single Junk in a Junkyard, which incidentally, was mixed by Adrian hall (Depeche Mode/Anna Calvi /Goldfrapp) and co-produced by Olivier Behzadi (Ex Sony A&R Head).
The four piece Steampunk-fulled electro-blues outfit say they will deliver "cinematic soundscapes that will tweak your heartstrings before sucker-punching your eardrums with a storming, guitar-driven chorus".
It all comes as part of Hippy Joe's Live and Unsigned night at the venue in High Pavement in the town centre.
The fun starts at 8pm.
Admission is free.
