WHEN a band which consists of 25 musicians is going to play a gig, you know you are in for a big sound and a big night.

The Last Resort are that band, and the night is this Saturday. (October 14)

The band - whose members are all based across Essex - will be taking to the stage at the Mill Arts and Events Centre in Rayleigh as part of a fundraising concert for the Lord's Taverners charity (Essex region).

The Lord's Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity whose objective is to "give disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance".

This year's musical event, sponsored by Tilney, will be the twelfth show of its kind for The Last Resort, who formed back in 1999 by two old friends who had an idea to reunite the colleagues they had worked with over the years, whilst raising funds for charity at the same time, playing a mix of Brit Pop, R&B, Rock n Roll, musicals and contemporary.

Tickets can be purchased on-line in advance for £10 (under 16's £5) or on the door at the venue in Bellingham Lane, for £12 (under 16 £6).

Doors open at 7.30pm

The show starts at 8.30pm.
