A FORMER speech writer for the Prime Minister is just one of the acts set to perform at the Comedy Club’s newest night.
The company, which has more than 70 venues across the UK, five of which are in Essex, is launching the night at the Four Seasons, in Victoria Road, Laindon.
Comedian Tim Clark will compere the evening, which starts at 8pm, tomorrow.
Tim is probably most recognised for his role as the grim reaper in the Virgin Atlantic TV adverts. He has also penned speeches for former England football manager Graham Taylor and Gordon Brown.
Headlining comedian Bob Mills is best known for the late-night cult TV show In Bed With MeDinner, which aired on ITV in the Nineties.
He will be supported by Phil Butler, who plays the mischievous chef in BBC One’s Hotel Babylon.
The Comedy Club had hosted a night at Jumpin Jaks in Basildon about five years ago. The new night is set to take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
Tickets cost £7.50. To book call 01268 540052 or visit www.hahaheehee.com
