THE Joker Comedy Club, which has been running for 27 years, is on the move.

The next show, on Friday, October 24, will be its last at the Maritime Rooms, in the Cliffs Pavilion, before a new era begins at the Park View Rooms, Chalkwell Park, on Friday, November 28.

The line-up at the “Goodbye Maritime Rooms” gig includes Don Tran, award-winning American funnyman Alex Edelman and comedian and star of EastEnders Ricky Grover.

Tickets are available in advance from for £9, or £12 on the door.

Doors open at 8.30pm, with the show running from 9.20pm to midnight.

The “Hello Park View” gig will feature The Boy With Tape on His Face Gary Jackets, organiser of the Joker Club, said: “There are many reasons for the move, but we think people will like the benefits the new venue brings: Ample free parking, cheaper bar prices, improved food, lovely staff and an increased number of shows per month.”
