A MULTITUDE of musicians and artists including keyboard legend Rick Wakeman will be flocking to Fives record store across four days next week, to celebrate its 40th birthday!

The programme has been organised by Middle Age Spread "Rev" Daryl Easlea, who particularly wanted to honour the anniversary of the independent record store in Leigh, which has served so many music loving locals for so long, including the many unsigned musicians whose CDs the store kindly stocks.

He said: "We just love that this record store has been here for 40 years serving the community and we wanted to do something to celebrate it.

"We are also absolutely delighted that keyboard legend Rick Wakeman will be visiting us to celebrate and sign copies of Piano Portraits (Rick's new album) at 5pm on Friday 27th ahead of his show at the Palace Theatre.

"Come along and say hello!"

The fun will kick off on Thursday October 26, when customers are invited to drop by and enjoy the wealth of talent perform a mixture of live in-store music sets, DJ sets and a signing, which take place daily until Sunday October 29.
