A TRIBUTE show to the late great Frank Sinatra and contemporary crooner Michael Buble, where the audience can experience what it would have been like had these two musical icons actually performed together, is coming to the Cliffs Pavilion.

In Buble Meets Sinatra: The Showdown, Frank is played by Southend resident Kevin Fitzsimmons, while Buble is put on by Kai McKenzie in a "concert that never was".

The stars' greatest hits are promised to be recreated with "incredible accuracy", backed by a live orchestra, featuring favourite songs such as Hollywood, Haven’t Met You Yet, Feeling Good, Me and Mrs Jones, Strangers In The Night, Fly Me To The Moon and New York New York.

The two performers have both received high accolades for their performances. Kai was contacted by Michael Buble’s team who had heard about his incredible likeness to the superstar. He was invited backstage at The 02 to meet the man himself who had seen a film of Kai’s performance and told him how impressed he was. Kai has recently worked with Ron Di Lauro who was Buble’s musical director when he performed at the Prime Minister of Canada’s daughter’s wedding.

Meanwhile Kevin Fitzsimmons is the only 'Sinatra' approved by the president of Sinatra Music Society and has received rave reviews nationwide.

Buble Meets Sinatra: The Showdown! will be on at Cliffs Pavilion on Sunday March 19 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £27.50, £25.50, RV £20.50 (concessions £1.50 off) and are available from the box office on 01702 351135 or via southendtheatres.org.uk.
