JOZEF van Wissem, a lute player who won the Cannes Film Festival Soundtrack Award for the score of Only Lovers Left Alive, is coming to Southend's art cafe, Twenty One.
The Dutch born Brooklyn based musician is being presented by music and art curator, Hello You, an event put on by musician and artist duo John Hannon and Amy McKenny.
Also on the bill for the evening, which takes place next Wednesday November 29 at 7:30pm - 10:30pm, is New York based film-maker Jem Cohen, who won the Independent Spirit Award for feature film-making.
Cohen is known for his observational portraits of urban landscapes and artistic blending of sixteen-millimetre, Super 8 and videotape media formats.
There will also be a set by spoken word performer, Southend based Jason Pilley.

Twenty One is based at the bottom of the Pier Lift, Unit 21, Pier Approach, Western Esplanade.
