IF you fancy learning how to make a long exposure pinhole camera so you can make artistic solargraphy images, read on.
Solargraphy is a photographic method for recording the paths of the Sun, using such a camera.
A Solargraphy workshop, open to all, is taking place on Saturday December 16 at 10am – 12noon and then 1pm - 3pm, at the Old Waterworks Gallery, in North Road, Southend.
Tickets are £10 per person.
Steve Lodge, managing director at the gallery, said: "This workshop will cover making the pinhole, camera, placing your solargraph and developing your image.
"No experience is necessary and it's suitable for all ages."
All materials are included and refreshments will be provided.
The Old Waterworks is an independent, artist-led space sited in a Victorian waterworks, in North Road, Southend, that is home to several projects including artist studios, printmaking studio, Winch Gallery and The White Bus cinema.
It offers dedicated artists’ studios alongside more flexible spaces within the building and provides facilities (dark room and printmaking), workshops, a public programme, events and activities.
