"YOU could be a winner if destiny calls, crank my handle, release my balls!" says Woody Goodcock, the host of a brand new, family friendly, live music-cum-bingo Sunday afternoon.
Of course, the more eagle eyed among you would have noticed the aforementioned Woody Goodcock is in fact David Woodcock, the piano playing frontman and songsmith signed to Blow Up records, who leads the Fixtures band.
He will, under the guise of his alter ego, host Bingo Bonanza, the premise being "similar to normal bingo but for each ball there is a song attached from Dave's repertoire of hundreds".
His glamorous assistant, Mangel Hornypants, explains: "There will also be bonus balls with prizes, forfeits and some other crowd participation games all delivered with tongue firmly in cheek, but with the serious business of witty, observant and catchy original music being performed live throughout."
Bingo Bonanza takes place at The Blue Boar, Victoria Avenue, Southend, on Sunday February from 4pm - 6pm.
The event is amily friendly and free.
