I am pleased to have been appointed the Neighbourhood Constable for the Vange Ward as it is such a diverse area with many policing needs.
I have been in this post for almost a year now and am supported by a great team of proactive Police Community Support Officers.
I have been a Police Officer for seven years, serving different communities with the Essex area.
It is my hope that over the coming months, the existing links between the Vange Community and local police can be fostered and new links forged.
I look forwad to meeting you at the Neighbourhood meetings"
- Police Community Support Officer Darren Weeks
I have been a PCSO for seven years. I enjoy working with local residents to deal with the issues that matter to them. My aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime in the area also offering reassurance to our residents.
- Police Community Support Officer Dean Chesterman
I am Dean Chesterman and I am one of your PCSO's for Vange. I have been a member of Essex Police for 4 years. My beat covers the surrounding areas of Luncies Road, the Riverview Centre and Sandon Road.
My main aim for the community is to improve youth facilities in Luncies Park and the green area in Stagden Cross.

Pitsea Neighbourhood Meeting
When: 11th November 2014, 7.00pm
Where: The Place, formerly Pitsea Leisure Centre Northlands Pavement Pitsea Basildon Essex.
In order to reap the benefits and gain the best out of the Pitsea Neighbourhood Meetings, one Neighbourhood meeting (formerly known as NAPs) will now be held for the whole of the Pitsea area as opposed to the 5 individual NAP meetings once held. The Neighbourhood meetings will be held approx every 6 weeks. By forging the individual wards together, as a group we can discuss relevant policing issues and set priorities for the whole of Pitsea that as a community will affect everyone. In the future it will be planned to invite personnel from other outside agencies as well as other departments of Essex Police to attend the Neighbourhood Meeting to assist us in dealing with issues that may be raised by you the members. Crime and incident statistics will continue to be passed for each individual ward, and issues can still be raised and discussed no differently to the previous former NAPs.
