TONIGHT and tomorrow afternoon and evening, there’s a chance to see Leigh Operatic and Dramatic Society’s production of Ghost, The Musical, at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff.

Tomorrow night at St Clement’s Church, Leigh Broadway, the Southend based chamber choir Gaudeamus will present a programme of music across the ages, including motets, madrigals, folk songs, featuring Essex composers Byrd, Tallis, John Wilbye and Gustav Holst, as well as light music.

This starts at 7.30pm. On Sunday there’s a chance for young musicians to join with South Essex Youth Symphony Orchestra in their workshop at Sweyne Park School in Rayleigh, starting at 1.15pm.

The theme of young musicians continues on Monday with “Musical Monday” – a fun day of music making for children aged 7+, at St Mary’s C of E Primary School, Boston Avenue, Southend.

This event starts at 10am, and young musicians can just book on the day. Next Friday lunchtime Chelmsford Cathedral hosts the male voice choir “Men2Sing” for a lunchtime recital at 12.30pm.
