THE favourite pig of the pre-schooler is of course none other than Peppa, so your little one might be jumping with glee to learn the new live stage show - Peppa Pig's Surprise - is about to hit the Cliffs Pavilion.

The UK and Ireland tour follows it's world premier and is produced by leading children’s theatre team Fiery Light, in partnership with licensor Entertainment One.

This brand new show marks the seventh consecutive year of the Peppa Pig live theatre tours (the first tour being in 2009) . It will culminate in a six-date Peppa Pig Christmas West End run at the Duke of York’s Theatre from December 18 until January 17.

The story is centred around Peppa playing outside with her friends. Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig have got a surprise for her and her younger brother George, but no matter how hard they try, they cannot guess what it is.

Peppa Pig's Surprise features new songs and new life-size puppets.

The show was adapted for stage by director Richard Lewis. He has done the same for all three Peppa Pig live stage shows: Peppa Pig’s Party (2009 - 2011), Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt (2011 - 12) and Peppa Pig’s Big Splash (2013 - 2014).

He commented: ‘It hardly seems like six years since we first started on the first Peppa Pig live stage show and we had no idea we’d now be working on our fourth touring theatre production. It’s been an incredible experience seeing the children’s reactions, not only in the UK but throughout the world and it just confirms that Peppa really is a worldwide phenomenon."
