HEADLINING jazz saxophonist Freddy V, proudly hailed as the "real deal" on the underground scene, is coming to the Jazz Mix Club at the Cliffs Pavilion.

Freddy brings with him a "fantastic band" consisting of Terry Lewis on guitar, Phil Mulford on bass, Jack Pollitt on drums and all the way from the USA, his writing/producing partner Mo Pleasure on keyboards. Expect Freddy and the band to play tunes from his CD Easier Than It Looks.

For the past 20 years Fred Vigdor has been the saxophonist and horn arranger with the legendary Average White Band, performing on television, radio and at festivals and clubs all over the world.

In the Summer of 2004 he took over the saxophone duties with vocalist Michael McDonald on the Rock & Soul Revue Tour. It was through this collaboration that McDonald asked Fred to play on his Motown II CD.

Tickets are on sale now, available now from the Cliffs Pavilion box office for £13, or via southendtheatres.org.uk
